Barges Broke Loose North Of Memphis........

Saturday, a tow pushing dozens of barges along the Mississippi River broke apart, scattering barges and debris across the river near Memphis, Tennessee.

The vessel Cooperative Enterprise was pushing 42 barges laden with corn or soybeans, when the barges broke free of the vessel approximately 20 miles upstream of Memphis.

The U.S. Coast Guard blocked off portions of the river while the barges were being rounded up.  They are also investigating the cause of the incident........

Report:  Illinois Among States Not Controlling Pollution........

The Mississippi River Collaborative recently released a report that calls upon the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to take action on reducing nitrogen and phosphorous pollution in Illinois and 9 other states, as they have not made sufficient reductions in pollution.

The report determined that phosphorous and nitrogen seriously threaten Illinois waters.  Kim Knowles, staff attorney at Prairie Rivers Network states that the EPA's "hands-off" approach is not working in Illinois.  Knowles adds that each summer, Illinois' beaches and lakes are fouled by smelly, noxious, and at times toxic algal blooms.

The report offers six steps that the EPA can take to preserve water quality and human health in Illinois waters.  The suggestions include assessing more waterways to see the extent and effects of nitrogen and phosphorous pollution, setting numerical limits on allowable amounts of nitrogen and phosphorous, and encouraging states develop plans for addressing the pollution........

WW II PT Boat Headed For The Mississippi River........

Saturday morning, the WW II PT-305 Boat wound it's way through the streets of New Orleans en route to the Mississippi River.  Once there, it was to be placed on a barge for a trip to Lake Pontchartrain.

Originally manufactured by Higgins Industries in New Orleans in 1943, PT-305 was assigned to duty in the Mediterranean,  Upon returning to the States in 1945, it was retrofitted for work as an oyster boat in the Chesterfield Bay.

Defenders of American Naval Museum purchased the vessel, and spent the better part of a decade restoring it.  The vessel will featured at the PT-305 Boat Exhibit and Boathouse on Lake Pontchartrain........

State Police Investigate Torso In River........

On Friday, police said that they were still trying to determine the identity of a torso discovered in the Illinois River near Browning, Illinois last Sunday.  They have determined that the man's death was caused by the commission of a crime.

An autopsy was performed Monday, but offered little additional information, with the exception that the amputated portions of the torso were smooth.  The Illinois State Police have taken over the investigation.

Coroner Terry Millflagle says that no identification has been made, and that is one of the reasons that the case was shifted to the ISP.  The Illinois Department of Natural Resources reports that the body has been in the river for as many as 10 days........

Crews are working on the second phase of a project to mitigate water seepage from sand boils underneath the Wood River Levee near the Alton Marina, and the project is set to be completed for January.

Amanda Kruse, public information specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said that crews are in the process of installing 1,200 linear feet of a shallow cutoff wall intended to address the under-seepage.

The project consists of digging a trench into the levee, then sinking a slurry made of soil and bentonite, which will harden, forming the cutoff wall.  This will be topped with clay dirt........

Environmentalists:  States Hurting The River........

Environmental groups across the nation are claiming that the federal government has refused to require states control nutrient runoff into the Mississippi River.

On Thursday, The 13 Minnesota state and national environmental groups comprising the Mississippi River Collaborative released a comprehensive assessment of the Mississippi River corridor.

This assessment is intended to push the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to do more to protect the river.  The EPA responded that the federal action won't solve the nutrient runoff issue, as the majority of the runoff is from farmland, which is not subject to federal laws........

Mississippi River At Davenport, Iowa

LL&W Founder Offers Alternate Riverfront Plan........

The city of Davenport, Iowa is trying to determine what to do with the former Rhythm City Casino site along their riverfront.  Two proposals have been submitted for the barge and porte cochere, but response to them has been lackluster.

Chad Pregracke, founder of Living Lands and Waters has come up with an alternative plan for Davenport's riverfront.  His idea is to create a floating park similar to the Spruce Street Harbor Park along the Delaware River at Philadelphia.

Pregracke says that people look at the former casino site and say that is ugly, and not what they want.  He adds that he sees the barges, and envisions what could be........

Shootout Course Shortened........

The organizers of the Lake of the Ozark Shootout recently announced that they were going to shorten the length of the race from one mile to 3/4 mile.

Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Race Director Ron Duggan said that the event committee evaluates safety each year following the Shootout, and over the past several years, there have been several serious accidents.

Event organizers asked for input from the racers, and decided to shorten the race course from one mile to 3/4 mile.  The start will still have a 40 MPH run-in, in order to allow the large boats a chance to get up on plane........

Lake Of The Ozarks

No-Wake Zone Extended After Shootout........

Every August, tens of thousands of boats tie up to form one of the world's largest flotillas during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.  When the flotilla breaks up following the Shootout, the waters get fairly choppy as all the vessels try to leave at the same time.

Property owners between the 31 and  36 Mile Markers, and beyond, are complaining about damage to their docks caused by such a large number of boats heading down the channel.

For 2016, the Missouri State Highway Patrol expanded the no wake zone to include a nearly 5 mile long stretch.  Early next year, the Highway Patrol will be hosting a public meeting to get public input on the issue, as well as potential solutions........

Missouri Settles Drowning Lawsuit........

The State of Missouri recently agreed to a multi-million dollar settlement in the drowning death of 20 year old Brandon Ellingson on the Lake of the Ozarks, that occurred Memorial Day weekend 2014.

The incident occurred after Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Tony Piercy placed Ellingson in handcuffs on suspicion of boating while intoxicated.

Waterfowl Kill Attributed To Invasive Snails........

This fall, an invasive snail has been blamed for the killing of hundreds of waterfowl along the Upper Mississippi River.  The waterfowl are falling victim to a parasite found in faucet snails, which they eat during stopovers during the fall migration.

Over the past 15 years, die-offs have become an annual event, following the arrival of the faucet snails.  The snails were introduced into the Great Lakes in the late 1900s, and have since spread out to the inland waterways.

The snails do provide a food source for waterfowl , they carry a parasite called trematodes, which infects the birds, and causes them to die within three to eight days........

Group Calls On EPA To Limit pollution........

On Thursday, a report was released by a coalition of environmental and legal groups that calls upon the U.S. Environmental Agency to set water pollution limits for nitrogen and phosphorus in the Mississippi River.

Pollution from industry, agriculture, and municipalities has killed marine life, caused algae growth, and contaminated water within the ten states bordering the river.

The EPA has asked the states to address the matter, and during 2011, they suggested eight policies that were intended to help curb phosphorous and nitrogen pollution......

Early next year, Larson Boat Group will be closing their manufacturing facility in Little Falls, Minnesota, and will consolidate manufacturing at their Pulaski, Wisconsin.

The company will also cease production of the Triumph brand, however, Larson will continue to manufacture their other lines, including Larson and Striper.

CEO Rob Parmentier said that financial review and analysis has led Larson to the decision to shutter their Little Falls operation after over 100 years of boat building........

Mark Twain Lake Public Workshop

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake has announced plans for a public workshop to be held on December 1st, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss dam safety and 2016 Water Control Operations. Presentations will be given by members of the St. Louis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Water Control and Dam Safety staff.
The St. Louis District is responsible for maintaining the waterways that flow through a large part of eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. Located within the District’s boundaries are 300 miles of the Mississippi River, including its four most southerly Locks and Dams and its confluence with the Missouri and Illinois River. Also included are several tributary rivers, dozens of other small streams, and five multi-purpose reservoirs – Lake Shelbyville, Carlyle Lake, Rend Lake, Mark Twain Lake, and Lake Wappapello.
The M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center is located on Rt. J just south of the Clarence Cannon Dam. If you’d like more information, please feel free to email marktwaininfo@usace.army.mil or call 573-735-4097.

Mississippi River At Hannibal, Missouri

More Info.....City Council Approves Riverfront Plan With A Marina........

Once the renovations at the Hannibal riverfront are complete, it will feature a marina.  During Tuesday night's meeting of the Hannibal City Council, a plan that includes a new marina was unanimously approved, 7-0.

The design, known as Plan D, settled a topic that had been a point of contention for boaters, and even non boaters, who believe that a storied river town like Hannibal should have a marina.

The Save the Marina delegation had circulated a petition in hopes of bringing the marina issue to a vote of the public.  There was even talk of legal action against the city if the existing marina was filled in without a replacement........

NMMA Looking For Trump's Ethanol Policy........

The National Marine Manufacturers Association announced that they are eagerly waiting for clarification on the president-elect's position on ethanol, which has so far supported an increase in ethanol in the fuel supply.

While campaigning earlier this year, Trump told the Renewable Fuels Association in Iowa that the EPA should increase the amount of ethanol blended into the gasoline supply.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was widely criticized in Iowa for opposing federal subsidies for the ethanol industry, claiming that he would tear down the EPA's blend wall, which allows ethanol to expand it's market share up to 60%, without mandates.........

River Could Leave Farmland Isolated........

A recent study from the University of Illinois, if the Mississippi River continues to have it's way, farmland located on the Dogtooth Bend Peninsula may only be accessible by boat.

The study claims that each successive flood scours a deeper channel across the narrow neck of the peninsula, and this floodwater shortcut could change the peninsula into an island.

University of Illinois researcher Ken Olson said that some 15,000 acres of farmland in the Dogtooth Bend region would no longer be accessible by road if the Mississippi River were left to it's own devices........

Dakota Access Pipeline Developer Requests Permission To Proceed........

On Tuesday, Dallas based Energy Transfer Partners tried to get a federal judge's permission to move ahead with construction on a disputed section of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

ETP asked the court to allow them to lay pipe under a Missouri River reservoir, a plan which the Standing Rock Sioux says threatened their cultural sites and drinking water.

On Monday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said that they need more time to study the impact of the plan.  The Corps had granted permits for this project back in July........

Plans Proposed For Shipping Port.........

Last fall, the city of Muscatine, Iowa expressed interest in importing and exporting goods via barges along the U.S. Inland Waterways systems.  The move would open the city to worldwide trade, as well as benefitting companies throughout the Quad Cities.

Muscatine officials say that thanks to grant funding the port is becoming closer to fruition.  Dave Gobin, Muscatine's Community Development Director says that a feasibility study began in September, moving the port project forward.

Gobin adds that the study will analyze whether of not a port would make economic sense, as well as justifying the investment for the port project........

Hi Bill,
This would be the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge in Cape.
It is a well made awesome looking structure. I look forward to seeing it from the river someday.
The fun part I'm out of town working and I ended up over the river and got sunset shot.

Ramjet

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge connecting Missouri's Route 34 and Route 74 with Illinois Route 146 across the Mississippi River between Cape Girardeau, Missouri and East Cape Girardeau, Illinois.
Old Cape Girardeau Bridge with replacement under construction, 1997.
It was built just south of its predecessor, the Cape Girardeau Bridge, which was completed in 1928 and demolished in 2004. Prior to its destruction, it was documented for the Library of Congress Historic American Engineering Record Survey number HAER MO-84.
The bridge is named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. Planning for the four-lane structure began in June 1987, and construction began in late 1996. Several factors have been blamed for the bridge's many delays in planning and construction, including Illinois' reluctance to participate in the project, as well as issues with the bedrock of the river (this resulted in the hiring of a new contractor).
The bridge was featured in the 2014 David Fincher film Gone Girl.[1][2]
City Council Approves New Marina Plan........
During Tuesday's meeting of the Hannibal City Council, the council approved a preliminary plan for riverfront improvements that includes a new 48 slip marina in Nipper Park.
While some call the new plans a compromise, others are not in agreement.  Janice Tomko, who wants to keep the existing marina, says that they are going to continue to fight the plans.
Officials with the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department say that residents can share their thoughts on the proposed plans, since construction work is not set to begin until 2018........
Monday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that they have completed a review of the disputed Dakota Access pipeline, however, they believe that more study, and input from tribal leaders is needed before allowing the pipeline to cross under the Missouri River.
This announcement was made amid wide speculation that officials were about to approve the river crossing, and will serve to further delay the project.
Pipeline developer Energy Transfer Partners of Dallas says that they had been hopeful that they would be pumping oil through yhe pipeline early next year........
News Release From BoatUS
Giving Tuesday is November 29
BoatUS Foundation asks boaters for support
ANNAPOLIS, MD, November 15, 2016 – Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season on November 29. The educational 501(c)(3) BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water asks boaters for their financial assistance on this day to help support the boating nonprofit’s missions to reduce boating accidents and fatalities and increase stewardship of our waterways. Boaters can go to BoatUS.org, to make a donation.
Most of the Foundation’s funding comes directly from boaters and waterway users. Since 1981, it has offered the only national life jacket loaner program for kids at more than 575 locations across the United States, the only free online boating-safety course that’s taken by more than 100,000 boaters each year and recognized by 34 states, and has funded more than $1.3 million in local boating-safety and clean-water grants allowing local communities to have a positive impact on their own waters.
“For boaters, this is the chance to make boating better and improve their own boating,” said Foundation president Chris Edmonston. For more, go to BoatUS.org.
News Release From BoatUS
The Cold Facts on the '120-Degree Rule'
Know When to Wear Thermal Protection While Paddling This Fall
ANNAPOLIS, Md, November 14, 2016 – The boat may be put away for the season, but the occasional warm fall day still brings plenty of paddlers out on the water. Knowing when to wear the thermal protection offered by a dry- or wetsuit is key. However, a long-assumed guideline meant to help paddlers make the right decision, sometimes known as the “120-degree rule,” may instead put paddlers in danger.
The 120-degree rule is a formula that adds together the air and water temperatures to determine when thermal protection is required. It assumes that if the total is above 120 F, that no dry- or wetsuit is needed.
“Using this simple formula,” says BoatUS Foundation Assistant Director of Boating Safety Ted Sensenbrenner, “a paddler could mistakenly believe that if air temperature is the low 70s and water temperature is hovering around the low 50s, that thermal protection is not necessary. That could not be farther from the truth.”
Sensenbrenner says that warm fall or spring days give paddlers a false sense of security. “Water temperatures have plunged, but the warm sun on your face hides the reality that accidentally going overboard at this time of year could quickly lead to trouble.”
According to research, sudden cold-water immersion can kill in several ways: involuntary gasp reflex and hyperventilation, cold incapacitation, and immersion hypothermia. Not wearing a life jacket compounds the drowning risk.
A word to the wise? “Always wear a life jacket when in an open boat or on deck, and consider the water temperature when dressing for your next boating adventure,” says Sensenbrenner. For more on cold-water boating including what to wear, go to BoatUS.org/cold-water-boating.
November 14, 2016
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces several boating safety certification courses are being offered to the public. The courses will take place:
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the following Saturdays: January 14, January 21, January 28, 2017, February 11, February 18, and February 25, 2017, at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D Headquarters, 3131 East Kearney Street, Springfield, MO 65803. The maximum class size each day is 30 people.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Dewey Short Visitors Center, 4500 State Highway 165, Branson, MO 65616. The maximum class size is 40 people.
Students must be present to satisfy requirements for the boating safety card. There is no fee for this course; however, students are required to pre-register online, as seating will be limited and notification may be sent in the event the course is canceled. For more information, to register for the course, or to obtain a complete listing of where other courses are being offered, you may visit the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s website, www.mshp.dps.mo.gov. Select "Boat Safety Education & Certification" found under the "Training" heading.
Missouri law requires any person born after January 1, 1984 to carry a boating safety certification card along with a picture ID anytime they operate a vessel, which includes personal watercraft, on Missouri lakes. Any student who successfully passes this course will be eligible to order the boating safety certification card, which costs $15.
Watercraft operators must consider the effect their actions have on others: Share the waterway and use common sense, good judgment, and courtesy to ensure the safety of all. Life jackets save lives. Wear It!!
The Coca-Cola Foundation recently awarded the University of Illinois Springfield a $25,000 grant, which the school intends to use to study and compare river ecosystems in Illinois and Brazil.
This grant is funding a joint collaboration between UIS and the Universidade Estadual de Maringa in Brazil to study the Illinois and Parana Rivers.
Keenan Dungey, associate professor of chemistry at UIS said that the focus of the collaboration is the water and the environment.  Students will have the opportunity to learn how to measure the river's ecology, water chemistry, plankton, and microbes........
The Mississippi River
The River Is A Cultural Treasure........
Mark Twain once noted how much of the Mississippi River's landscape had been ignored, while attention had primarily been focused on the river below St. Louis.
In 1886, Twain told the Chicago Tribune that along the Upper Mississippi River, each hour brings something new.  He added that there are groups of odd islands, bluffs, hills, woods, prairies, but few think of visiting, as we ignore the finest part of the Mississippi.
The Mississippi River is a cultural treasure for the nation, and it serves as the backdrop of a number of American stories, as well as a constant muse for artists and musicians from Minneapolis, Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico........
Officials turned ceremonial dirt on Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard, kicking off the second major project in the $380 million Gateway Arch Grounds overhaul.
The plan included raising the boulevard  2 1/2 feet to keep it above most of the floods and the construction of pedestrian and bicycle paths.
Hi Bill,
Saturday was one of those days that you did not want to see end. Great people, good times. With the almost full beaver moon. Native Americans considered it a time to hunt for furs and food before the waters freeze over. In addition according to NASA: it is a supermoon as well. It's 14% bigger and 30% brighter due to it being closer to the earth. Last time it was this close to the earth was January 1948. In addition it sure makes the fog look awesome
Running Water:  Riverwork Project & Watershed Cairns Runs Through The 19th........
An exhibition called Running Water:  Riverwork Project and Watershed Cairns opened in early October, and is running through November 19.  This free exhibition is intended to bring awareness to the region's most vital resource, fresh water, at the confluence of three major rivers, as well as the Mississippi Flyway.
Running Water uses displays of pieced and painted textile, glass sculptures and photography to offer a new way to look at water, which is our most crucial resource.
The exhibition answers the questions of how we live with water, where it comes from, and why rivers are crucial to life via displays at multiple locations around the Riverbend, including The Audubon Center at Riverlands, the National Great Rivers Museum, and the Jacoby Arts Center........
The Mississippi River
Lake Itasca, The Headwaters Of The Mississippi River........
Over the years, many explorers searched for the origins of the Mississippi River.  In 1820, Michigan territorial governor Lewis Cass led an expedition into Northern Minnesota, and claimed that Cass Lake was the origin of the Mississippi River.  Junior member of the Cass Party, Henry Schoolcraft had his doubts.
In 1832, Schoolcraft returned to the region, and was guided to Lake Itasca by Native Americans, about 40 miles southwest of Cass Lake.  These days, the headwaters of the Mississippi is marked by a simple pole.
The point where water flows out of Lake Itasca is acknowledged as the headwaters of the Mississippi River.  A concrete structure, capped with rocks was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps workers in the 1930s to stabilize outflow from the lake........
The Mississippi River
A Few Facts About The Mississippi River........
The Mississippi River System is among the world's major river systems in size, biological productivity, and habitat diversity.  It is the second longest river in North America, as the Missouri River is about 100 miles longer.
There are several schools of thought concerning the length of the Mississippi River.  Itasca State Park says that the river's main stem is 2,552 miles long.  The U.S. Geological Survey says that the river is 2,300 miles long, the EPA says the river is 2,320 miles long, and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area says that the river is 2,350 miles long.
The Mississippi River is between 20 and 30 feet wide at Lake Itasca, which is the narrowest section over it's entire length.  The Mississippi's widest portion is found in Lake Winnibigoshish, where it is more than 11 miles wide.  The widest navigable section of the Mississippi's shipping channel is in Lake Pepin, where it is about 2 miles wide........
Meramec River At Pacific, Missouri
Funds Sought For Meramec River Crossing........
Aldermen from Pacific, Missouri have agreed to partner up with the county, the Magi Foundation, and the East-West Gateway Council of Governments to come up with funding for the construction of a future Meramec River trail crossing that will link up to the Ozark Trail and Great Rivers Greenway.
This partnership grew from the Magi Foundation's efforts to save the Old Bend Bridge, and preserve it in place for use as a pedestrian crossing and a trail connector.
According to John Griesheimer, the availability of funding for constructing a river crossing is not certain, however, the county is open to collaborating on the project........
The Pictures of the Day.....  Were taken yesterday afternoon at Woodland Marina
Ron Buchanan of Sioux Harbor in Portage des Sioux was installing new spud poles on the Cabbage Key dock at Woodland Marina yesterday afternoon.  The spud poles were already setting in position around the dock when I arrived. Ron and his crew jockeyed the barge and their tug into place and used a special device on their crane to drive the new spud poles down into the mud about 30 feet.
Once the spud poles are all driven down into the bottom of the harbor, the next step is to install another section above each spud pole so the docks can move up and down on them as the river level changes. The extension will be hoisted into position, set on top of the section that has been driven into the bottom of the harbor, leveled and Little John will weld the two sections together.
Quite the operation.
Marina Update
Our Committee met with the City tonight. We hashed out Plan D3 for a hour. We asked many many good questions that this group has risen.
Our Marina will be built FIRST in the $5.4million. We will have a ramp at all times. We will have Cameras and lights. We will have a fence surrounding the Marina, 48 slips, Gas, fish cleaning station, a dredger, and a designated trailor parking area for us.
My committee, myself included, will be endorsing Plan D3 Tuesday at City Council.
5 months ago, yes 5, we had no Marina. No gas. No security, etc.
I can proudly say, we won. With everyones help and support, we won.
We will be continuing our petition to ensure we will have a Marina for many years to come.
I ask, citizens of Hannibal, please stand behind our group and the City in this endeavour.
Thank you everyone
Alan Bowen.
Corps Seeks More Cooperation From Pipeline Company........
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said that they are working to diffuse the tensions between North Dakota law enforcement and Dakota Access pipeline protesters, but the developer of the pipeline is not cooperating.
On Wednesday, the Corps requested that Texas-based Energy transfer Partners stop construction in the location that protests against the $3.8 billion pipeline have led to more than 400 arrests.
Last week, the Corps made a similar request, which was ignored.  ETP crews assembled equipment with the intention of tunneling under Lake Oahe........
Mussels Cause Boating To Shut Down........
Glacier National Park has closed all park waters to boating, while officials assess the threat of invasive mussels.  Spokeswoman Lauren Alley said that they have a huge responsibility to water users downstream.
So far, there have been no traces of the mussels found in any of the park waters, however, the discovery of the invasive species in the Tiber River prompted the concern.
Park biologists use trained dogs and other methods fir finding the invasive quagga and zebra mussels potentially carried carried on watercraft looking to launch into park waters........
Annual Project Protects Levees, Riverbanks........
Repairs on some of the levees and riverbanks south of Memphis stemming from the flooding of 2011 continue, but another annual multi-million dollar project is underway as well.
In order to guarantee the river's levee system won't fail, and barge traffic will continue to move smoothly, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers carries out a process called mat sinking.
Using a specially designed Corps vessel, workers build and install articulated concrete mats.  These mats reduce erosion and scouring caused by the river's powerful currents, especially around the sharp bends in the Mississippi River........
Miami International Boat Show
Court:  Temporary Marina Permit Upheld........
This week, the Miami International Boat Show won another victory in court, when the Third District Court of Appeal upheld the state environmental permit which allows the construction of a temporary marina on Virginia Key.
Before last year's MIBS, which was the first held at the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection issued a five-year permit for a temporary 830 slip marina.
The Village of Key Biscayne had filed suit seeking to block the permit, as they had fought to keep the MIBS out of the Marine Stadium and Park & Basin........
